COMPETITIONS

Entries for the Wick Fête competitions reached record numbers in 2011 so we are hoping to reach new heights in 2012.


The competitions will include:


WICK FÊTE PHOTOGRAPHER OF THE YEAR

BEST WICK FÊTE ART or CRAFTWORK

BEST WICK CAKE AND BREAD MAKER


All exhibits will be shown in the sizeable Wick marquee and once the judges' deliberations are over and prize winners selected, visitors will be able to compare their choices with those of the judges.

WICK FÊTE PHOTOGRAPHER OF THE YEAR

The photographic award of Wick Fête Photographer of the Year 2012 will be awarded to the Best in Show photograph selected from the individual winners of the four categories and the junior winner:-

A. A British Landscape (country or town)
B. A Portrait - single or group
C. The Natural World (plants, birds or animals)
D. Action - sport or movement

The best entry by an under 16 years of age photographer will be awarded.

WICK FÊTE ART or CRAFTWORK OF THE YEAR

To encourage participation, the theme of the art or craftwork competition is wide open. All you have to do is enter your work and leave it to the judges.

WICK FÊTE CAKE and BREAD MAKER OF THE YEAR

The awards for Cake and Bread Maker of the Year will be awarded for the best baking and decorating of a cake and best loaf of bread.
